1. The first authentic information about the village Izmailovo dates back to the 15th century. The country yards were in a bend of the small river Serebryanka.
2. In 1663 tsar Alexey Mikhaylovich created in several counties of Moscow his own economy and the same year paid attention to Izmailovo. He wanted to create in Izmailovo a model nursery which would give him everything, especially appreciated in Russia rich flora of other countries, including the remote areas of his own state.
3. In November, 1837 the emperor Nicholas I made the decision to create on the Izmaylovsky island the largest military almshouse, thus he hoped to stop destruction of the former imperial residence.
4. Veterans of Patriotic war of 1812 and the Caucasian war, the soldiers and officers serving in Semenovskom, Preobrazhenskoye, Izmaylovsky regiments, seamen were the first inhabitants of the almshouse.
5. After the revolution, in 1924-1926, active reorganization of cases and services of the almshouse was carried out. The flats, where 2500 people moved into, were built. In 2007 this unique architectural complex of monuments became a part of the Moscow state joint memorial estate.

1. Izmaylovsky military almshouse
When in 1837, in a year of the 25 anniversary of Patriotic war of 1812, Nicholas I visited the Izmaylovsky island, the emperor made the decision to create here a large military almshouse. The main building of almshouse, the separate officer building, the family house, workshops, the pumping station, a bath, a laundry, an entrance arch and the fountain, the carriage shed and the stable still exist on the Izmaylovsky island.
2. Monarchic yard
On the territory of the Izmaylovsky island there are Ceremonial Lobbies and Back gates. They were built in 1682-1683. These buildings were fenced in a palace mansion. The general architectural plan of the Izmaylovsky Monarchic yard belonged to Alexey Mikhaylovich and its construction was continued by his son, Fedor Alekseyevich. Ceremonial Forward gate are situated opposite the western entrance to Pokrovsky Cathedral. In front of them the streletsky guard canopies were standing and decorated with painted fine-molded rail-posts. They were built in 1682-1683.
3. Bridge tower
The bridge tower is situated on the internal coast of the Silver pond and it is an intact part of the unique Stone Bridge. People came to the bridge from Vladimirskaya Road. The water ring of Silver and Grape ponds and also the Stone Bridge with a powerful serf tower provided reliable protection of the Imperial estate Izmailovo.

4. Pokrovsky Cathedral
In the 70th of the 17th century a stone five-domed Pokrovsky Cathedral was built instead of wooden Church of the Intercession. The builders should have imitated Pokrovsky Cathedral of the Aleksandrovsky settlement. But they built the building which is only partially was reminding a prototype. The Cathedral in Izmailovo doesn't have a basement. In 1839 the cathedral suffered a lot. On his northern and southern facades people sorted two high porches and attached to the walls two buildings of almshouse. One more case was built near the altar of cathedral. In the 20th century the furniture of the temple was lost. In the 2000th restoration works were carried out inside the cathedral.
5. Izmaylovsky Kremlin
Near the Izmaylovsky park the Izmaylovsky Kremlin is situated. This complex "Kremlin in Izmailovo" should relive Russian family traditions. For this purpose in Izmaylovsky Kremlin the Wedding palace was built. The halls for family celebrations decorated with hand painting acquainted guests with plots of Russian legends, immerse in the atmosphere of magic. And in this magic fairytale there are still a lot of things that should be opened!
